Why teams are moving beyond Meta setup​

The official Meta Cloud API can be the right choice for a large, heavily governed messaging operation. Use a dedicated business number, keep the phone online during initial pairing, and protect access to the linked-device session. Tell customers when they are speaking with AI, avoid unsolicited bulk messaging, and add an escalation rule for requests that require a person.

QR pairing also does not remove WhatsApp policy responsibilities. Your team still owns consent, privacy, message quality, and the number's reputation. The advantage is simply that you can get to a controlled pilot without building an integration stack first.
